President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, on his birthday, December 13, describing him as one of the strongest pillars of his administration and a critical driver of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The President hailed the former Governor of Rivers State as a fearless and results-oriented political leader whose capacity to deliver under pressure has distinguished him within the Federal Executive Council.
President Tinubu noted that under Chief Wike’s leadership, the Federal Capital Territory has witnessed unprecedented infrastructure expansion, citing the successful resolution of the 14-year stalemate on the Apo–Karshi Road as clear evidence of decisive governance.
He commended the Minister’s political courage, resilience, and firm commitment to execution, stating that these qualities have translated into visible progress across the nation’s capital.
The President further praised Chief Wike for rising above partisan boundaries in the national interest, describing him as a loyal partner in governance whose performance has strengthened the administration’s reform agenda.
“Nyesom Wike stands out as one of the shining stars of this administration,” President Tinubu said. “He has brought uncommon energy, discipline, and political will to the development of the Federal Capital Territory, proving that competence, not party affiliation, is what drives national progress.
“I commend him as one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda and wish him continued strength, good health, and greater success as he continues to serve the Nigerian people.”
