Two Found Guilty of Felling Historic Sycamore Tree in UK
Two persons have been found guilty of felling a famous Sycamore Gap Tree in Newcastle , United Kingdom.
As the single most famous tree in the world,it was a huge tourist attraction and local residents and others woke up on the morning of September 28,2023 to the shock that the iconic tree had been felled by two persons identified as Daniel Graham and Adam.
Both men,following their prosecution, were today found guilty by the Newcastle Crown Court.
Their sentencing is due on July 15, 2025.
However, ahead of the sentencing, the conduct of the convicts,who acted apparently to gain notoriety, has attracted spontaneous reactions by a bewildered public.
Both men had personally filmed themselves as they hewed down the historic tree, and, amusingly, had telephone calls in which they giggled at public reactions to their actions for which they were charged for vandalism and criminal damage to the great tree.
