Two Delta regional jets collided while taxiing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday night, tearing off one plane’s wing and damaging the nose of the other.
The crash happened around 9:56 p.m. as both CRJ-900s, operated by Endeavor Air, moved at low speed.
No passengers were hurt, but a flight attendant suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. All 85 passengers were evacuated and provided with food, hotels, and rebooked flights.
Delta said it is working with authorities to investigate the incident, stressing customer safety. The collision did not disrupt wider airport operations.
