Oborevwori Tours IIICF Exhibition, Backs Waste-to-Energy Innovation
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Wednesday toured the exhibition hall at the ongoing 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF) in Macao, China.
The exhibition featured cutting-edge technologies and infrastructure innovations, with a strong focus on sustainable road development and energy efficiency.
Accompanied by the Delta State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Charles Aniagwu; Technical Assistant, Engineer Bob Nakpodia; and other distinguished dignitaries from around the world, Governor Oborevwori visited several booths showcasing advanced waste-to-energy plants, innovative waste management solutions, and renewable energy systems.
The exhibition aimed to spotlight recent advancements in converting waste into clean energy, an approach that addresses both environmental and energy challenges.
Governor Oborevwori expressed deep interest and satisfaction with the waste-to-energy (WTE) technologies displayed, acknowledging their potential to reduce landfill burden, while contributing renewable power to the grid.
His visit underscores his administration’s commitment to international collaboration and the adoption of global best practices in sustainable development, particularly in waste management and clean energy.
The Governor noted that Macao’s leadership in WTE infrastructure offered valuable insights and opportunities for potential adaptation and investment in Delta State.
Inspired by the innovations at IIICF, Governor Oborevwori emphasized that his government remained open to partnerships and investments in WTE initiatives as part of its broader drive for environmental stewardship and economic resilience.
