The Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gbenga Agun, on Thursday reportedly slumped and died in Benin City.
The commandant was said to have slumped at an event organised by the International Association of World Peace Advocates shortly after delivering his keynote address.
According to reports, Agun was rushed to the Military Hospital at the Airport Road, Benin City, for medical attention, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Edo NSCDC Command and the national headquarters of the agency are yet to comment on the development.
