NASC TO RELOCATE TO PERMANENT SITE IN NOVEMBER — ENYIEKERE
Barring last-minute hitches, the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) is set to relocate to its permanent office complex at the National Assembly Complex by the first week of November 2025.
The Executive Chairman of NASC, Chief (Dr.) Saviour Enyiekere, made this disclosure during the Commission’s first official inspection visit to the project site according to a press statement by NASC spokesman Emmanuel Anyigor.
He was accompanied by Honourable Commissioners and Management staff to assess the progress of work on the facility.
Dr. Enyiekere expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work by the contractors, commending the standard achieved so far. He stated confidently:
> “With this pace and high quality of work, I’m optimistic that we will move into this building as early as the first week of November this year.”
The inspection team was conducted round the four-storey structure by the Managing Director of Strabic Construction Ltd, Mr. Lekan Adebiyi, and the Project Director, Arch. Ademo Adewale. They disclosed that the project is currently at about 85% completion and assured that the building would be delivered to the Commission by October 2025.
The state-of-the-art complex features:
Spacious offices for the Executive Chairman, Honourable Commissioners, Management, and Staff
A 150-capacity suspended auditorium
An underground car park
A health facility
Recreational area
Prayer rooms
The Executive Chairman urged the project oversight committee to redouble efforts to ensure the November relocation timeline is met.
The NASC Office Project was originally initiated during the 3rd Commission under Engr. Ahmed Aliyu Dogondaji, but construction only commenced during the tenure of the 5th Commission, which brought the project to approximately 80% completion.
Upon completion, the new office complex is expected to provide a more conducive working environment for staff and management, while also saving the Commission millions of Naira in annual rent.
