Renowned Philanthropist and Security Consultant, Mr. lucky Ehiwuogwu Monye, has extended goodwill message to Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s feast of Eid-El-Maulud.
The feast of Eid-El-Maulud is in commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, founder of Islam.
In a statement to mark the occasion, Monye , the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Monaco Ventures Nigeria Limited, felicitates with Muslim faithful in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State from where he hails.
Monye said that the feast offered a great opportunity for people, especially Muslims, to reflect on the values of godliness, humility, unity, respect for other faiths, altruism and patriotism which the great prophet preached and demonstrably lived by.
He urged the Muslim faithful in the local government area to continue to live by the values outlined by the late prophet and to continue to coexist peacefully with their hosts, as well as contribute to the sustainable all round development of their history communities.
Monye described the indigenous people of the local government area as generally hospitable and urged the Muslim community to cooperate with their hosts in order to boost peaceful coexistence and promote national unity.
Monye, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) particularly urged the Muslim faithful to show greater respect for the customs and traditions of their host communities, and to liaise more with security agencies to erode the notion that elements of their community were involved in anti- social conduct that aggravate insecurity in the area.
He wished the Muslim community a grand celebration of Eid- El Maulud
