The Kano State Police Command has organized a lecture on Attitudinal Change for its officers as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen professionalism and community relations.
The high-capacity training, held on Monday, September 8, 2025, was delivered by Dr. Joseph Danley, National President of the Foundation for Correction of Moral Decadence (FCMD) and an advocate for positive behavioral transformation.
The initiative is in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, who has emphasized attitudinal change as key to improving police-public trust and enhancing service delivery in the Nigeria Police Force.
In his lecture, Dr. Danley underscored the importance of professionalism, courtesy, and empathy in officers’ conduct, stressing that humanity, love, and unity remain vital values for effective policing.
The event also featured the official launch of the “Attitudinal Change Handbook for the Nigeria Police Force”, a practical guide to help officers embrace integrity and excellence in service.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, commended the IGP for championing the capacity development initiative. He urged officers to study and apply the handbook, reminding them:
“Fear God in your service. Serve with integrity, professionalism, and compassion.”
CP Bakori reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to upholding the IGP’s vision and expressed gratitude to Dr. Joseph Danley for his impactful contribution to the program.
