Ose Anenih, son of late PDP chieftain Chief Tony Anenih, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter dated August 18, 2025, addressed to his ward chairman in Edo State, Anenih said the decision followed “deep personal reflection” and takes immediate effect.
“This decision was not made lightly,” he wrote, recalling his long commitment to the PDP since its founding. While grateful for his years of service, he explained that he is stepping back from partisan politics to prioritize family and other responsibilities.
“At this point in my life, however, I must step back from the arena of partisan politics. My duty now lies first with my family and with other responsibilities that demand my full attention,” he stated, reaffirming that his commitment to Nigeria’s progress “remains unshaken.”
Anenih expressed appreciation to the PDP leadership and members for their support, wishing the party success as it prepares for future contests in Edo State.
