Israel today confirmed the loss in action of four of its soldiers in Khan Younis, Southern Gaza.
News of the development was confirmed by the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and authorities of the Israeli Defence Force, IDF.
The loss is the third such incident this week ,coming after the death of a soldier in an operation, and thee others before then, during an earlier operation in Gaza.
The Al Qassam Brigades linked to Hamas had claimed responsibility for the two earlier incidents.
The first incident involved the ambush of an Israeli military armoured tank.
However, no group has claimed responsibility for today’s attack.
In today’ s incident, the troops met their poor fate when a booby trapped building collapsed and fell on them in Khan Younis.
Netanyahu said that aside from the dead, five others were wounded, including one seriously.
IDF sources said that two of the fallen soldiers had been identified and their families had been contacted.
