Hamas Kills 7 Israeli Soldiers In Ambush

At least 7 Israeli soldiers were killed and many others wounded in a Hamas military strike on Israeli troops.
The Israeli Army did not say when the incident happened,though other sources said it occurred on Tuesday night in the Khan Younis area of the Gaza Strip.
The troops died when their armoured tank exploded.
Israeli intelligence said preliminary investigations showed that the tank had been ringed with an explosive by Hamas fighters, who apparently detonated it remotely.
The explosion caused a.major fire which killed the trapped soldiers in the vehicle.
The Israeli army described it as the single worst incident in recent times.
The toll took to 879 Israeli soldiers killed by Palestinian fighters, according to the Israeli Defence Force, IDF , which has a culture of under – reporting its casualty figures.
It is estimated that more than 5,000 other Israeli soldiers were wounded in the conflict which has led to the death of more than 50,000 Palestinians and the injury to more than 100,000 others.
Israel launched its military campaign on Gaza after the October 7, 2023 invasion of Israel by Hamas a d its affiliates.
More than 1,200 Israelis, including soldiers, policemen , were killed in that assault in which about 250 others were abducted into Gaza.
