Japanese PM,n Shigeru Ishiba, Resigns
Japan, the fifth largest in the world, is seeking a new Prime Minister after the sitting one, Shigeru Ishiba, resigned.
There has been no official explanation of the resignation but the Prime Minister has led his ruling party to massive poll losses in recent times.
Ishiba took office less than a year ago.

890 Arrested At Palestinian Action Rally in London
About 890 participants were arrested last night at a rally organized by the Pro- Palestinian group, Palestinian Action.
About 1,500 persons participated in the rally, most displaying placards in support of the group and Palestine.
They said they were protesting the ongoing genocide in Gaza by Israeli troops on the orders of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said he wants to capture and occupy the city of Gaza, the heart of the enclave by that name.
Those arrested included 17 held for allegedly assaulting the police.
The government said they would be charged with the breach of the Anti- terrorism law., conviction on which could lead to 14 years in prison.
The government considers the Palestinian Action a terrorist group.
The group and rights groups in the country dispute the position of the government.

Zelensky Vows Apt Response to Massive Russian Attacks
The President of Ukraine , Volodymyr Zelensky, has vowed.an appropriate response after Russia launched its most massive overnight attacks which struck a government building for the first time.
The office of the Prime Minister was struck in the assault in which Russia deployed 800 drones and 13 cruise and ballistic missiles, according to Ukrainian officials.
At least four persons were killed and 44 others wounded, many severely, in the attacks which targeted mainly Kiev, capital of the country.
Describing the assault as vile, Zelensky vowed potent retaliation, saying the attacks depicted the war monger attitude of Russia ‘s President, Vladimir Viktor Putin.
The attacks, which lasted more than 11 hours, only eased off only in the early hours of today, and marked the first time that Moscow would hit a government building in the capital city.

IDF Troops Knock Down Another High Riser in Gaza.
Israeli troops, today, powered down another high rise building in the embattled city of Gaza.
Israel said the five storey building of 24 apartments was being used as a watch tower by operatives of the militant group, Hamas but failed to show proof.
The managers of the building said there were military targets in the structure and that Israel was mowing down structures as part of its hidden agenda of expelling Palestinians from their ancestral land.
The Royal Tower was the third high riser to be blown up by Israeli troops in as many days, following earlier destruction of the Mushtafa Tower and Sousi Tower over the past 48 hours preceding today.
Sousi had 72 apartments, while Roaya had a clinic and a gymn, aside from the 24 apartments.
Meanwhile Israeli troops have continued their military pounding of parts of the city, even ax criticism of the Israeli aim to occupy it continues to mount, depicting global condemnation.

Vatican Cannonises 15- year old Acutis First Millennial Saint
The Vatican today Cannonised teenager, Carlo Acutis, as the first millennial Saint.
The new Saint was Cannonised following an intense campaign by his mother who said her late teenage son had been associated with many miracles.
The Catholic Church said it could verify at least two of the miracles.
Acutis was born in the United Kingdom and baptized in Fulham, but grew up in Milan in Italy.
He died at 15 years from the blood cancer of leukaemia.
The ceremony was performed by Pope Leo XIV.
Brazil Holds Independence Day
Brazil, today, marked its Independence Day amid diverse protests in support and against the move of the government to prosecute former President Jair Bonsolaro.
The government of President Lunar is prosecuting the former president for allegedly trying to torpedo the outcome of the presidential poll which he lost.
In the capital, Braslia and other cities of the rainbow country, thousands of protesters staged pro and anti- government protests in relation to the move by the government to jail the former President for the alleged treason.
