Israel Kills 5 Journalists, Many Others In Gaza Strikes
Five journalists and media workers are among the roughly 20 persons killed when Israel today struck the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Southern Gaza today.
Many more were wounded in the two drone strikes that also killed civil defence workers and medical staff.
The dead journalists worked for Al Jazeera, The Associated Press and Reuters., and included Mariam Daqa, Mohammed Salama, Hassan Al
Masir and Ahmed Abu Aziz.
Gaza Media Office said the first drone struck some of the newshounds , and a second, which was more devastating in effect, came shortly afterwards as the victims of the first attack were being rescued..
The attacks came after Israel, 10 days ago, killed several other journalists in a deadly similar strike on a hospital in Gaza.
By official accounts, Israel has killed more than 240 journalists since its war on Gaza began in October 2023.
The Israeli Defence Force, IDF, has promised to investigate the strikes , and, in another statement, said it regretted the harm to those not involved in its conflict with Hamas.

Mushroom murder Convict, Patterson, For sentencing Sept 8
The convict in the mushroom meal poisoning of three of her relations, Erin Patterson , is to be sentenced on September 8.
This decision was reached today at the pre- sentencing hearing of the case that has shocked the world .
Patterson was found guilty of the multiple murders by poisoning of three persons and the attempted murder of a fourth person who survived the incident.
The survivor, who was in court today, shocked everyone when he said that he had forgiven Patterson for the attempt on his life.

Again, Russia Tortures Ukraine with heavy gunfire
Russia, overnight, struck three regions of Ukraine with drones and missiles.
Ukrainian officials say that more than 100 drones and missiles were deployed in the attacks which focused on Kharkiv, Sumy and Donetsk regions.
They said that more than three persons, including at least one in each of the impacted regions, died in the massive assaults.
More than 20 other persons were wounded in the assaults, the officials added,
There were no words on the specific identity and locations of the targets ,but locals spoke of secondary fires igniting at the sites struck.
The development came as the President of the country’ ,Volodymyr Zelensky publicly expressed the desire to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Viktor Putin on how to draw the curtain on their roughly three year war that has cost both countries dear.
He also said that Ukraine, his country , would require approximately $ billion monthly by way of security guarantee in the event of a peace deal with its bigger neighbour, Russia .

Putin To Make 4-Day Visit To China Next Week
Russian President, Vladimir Viktor Putin, is to undertake a four- day visit to China next week, according to presidential sources in Beijing have confirmed.
The visit comes as American President, Donald Trump, threatened to impose stiff tariff hikes and sanctions on Russia if it fails to reach a peace deal with Ukraine in two weeks.
Trump , as well threatened both India and China, Russia’s two main Non- Western trading partners, with secondary sanctions for doing business with Moscow in breach of the crippling plethora of sanctions imposed on it by Western.powers, especially America and the European Union, EU.
The sanctions were imposed as punishment for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, first in 2014, when it seized Crimes, and in February 2022, which triggered the ongoing nearly three- year old war.
In preparation for the Putin visit, managers of China’s security architecture have been working doing the clock, in firming up preparations, include rehearsals for a military parade and flyover by the Air Force..
A far- fetched military parade is expected to be mointed as part of the key programmes for the visit and Beijing, the city of 21 million people, and political dear of the country, is expected to host most of the events for the visit.
