Former Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Mike Agbo Omeri, has congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Eid-ul-Maulud, urging leaders and citizens to use the celebration to promote unity, justice, and peace in Nigeria.
In his goodwill message, Omeri — a senatorial aspirant under the PDP in Nasarawa State — called on government at all levels to pursue people-centered policies, fight corruption, tackle insecurity, and improve the welfare of citizens.
He noted that the virtues of humility, compassion, and fairness as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) should guide Nigeria’s leaders at this critical period of economic hardship and governance challenges.
“May this Eid-ul-Maulud inspire stronger interfaith harmony, renew our collective hope for Nigeria, and encourage us all to work together for a just and prosperous future,” Omeri said.
He also urged Nigerians to pray for the country, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and world leaders, stressing that prayer remains a powerful tool for peace and transformation.
