England Beat Spain on penalties to remain the European Women Soccer Championship Trophy, also called EURO 2025.
After a lone draw in regular and extra time, England converted three of their four kicks as against just one scored by Spain out of its four kicks.
England missed their first and fourth kicks , while Spain scored only the first of their four kicks: the rest were either saved or lost to misdirection.
By the victory, England retained the title they won two years ago.
The success consolidates the overall success of England in European and global soccer this season, following the earlier success of its entrant, Chelsea, in the Club World Cup championship held in America.
Chelsea walloped Paris Saint Germain (PSG) by three goals to nil in the final of the championship to lift the trophy .
