The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Delta State Coalition Committee has announced the commencement of its membership drive across the state beginning Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
According to the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Austine Okolie, the first phase of the exercise will run for three days, from Wednesday, August 27 to Friday, August 29, 2025, during which various groups and stakeholders are expected to formally identify with the Delta ADC coalition.
Okolie, in a statement issued in Asaba, explained that the exercise is aimed at identifying, accommodating, and integrating different partners and interest groups into the affairs of the party.
“It has become necessary to engage with diverse partners and interest groups within the Delta ADC coalition, to ascertain their structures and spread across the state. This will enable us to create a common platform that reflects inclusivity and unity,” Okolie stated.
He disclosed that three committees — Contact and Mobilisation, Membership/Registration, and Publicity — have been mandated to coordinate the exercise, with the support of the State Secretary and other coalition committee counterparts.
The membership registration will take place at the State Secretariat, Ibusa Road, Isieke Junction, Asaba, where groups are expected to present themselves for documentation and partnership identification within the stipulated three-day period.
Okolie further cautioned that any group that fails to participate in the exercise will be regarded as an opposing group, stressing that the ADC remains committed to accommodating all genuine interests within its coalition.
The exercise will precede the constitution and inauguration of the local government, ward, and senatorial coalition committees across Delta State.
