The Nigeria Police Force has arrested three additional suspects linked to the recent deadly attacks in Plateau State. Force PRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi announced that operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), acting on credible intelligence, apprehended the suspects and recovered weapons including an SMG rifle and two fabricated revolver rifles.
On May 3, Abubakar Jibrin of Kalone community in Shendam LGA was arrested with prohibited firearms. His confession led to a significant recovery at his residence. The following day, more weapons were recovered in Barkin Ladi, tied to suspect Ismail Danjuma, who is now in custody and cooperating with the investigation.
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, reaffirmed the force’s commitment to bringing all perpetrators to justice, urging the public to remain calm and support ongoing security efforts.
