In a surprising political twist, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious at the polling unit of Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
At the polling unit, the APC candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, polled 73 votes, defeating the Labour Party’s George Moghalu, who secured 57 votes. The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) came third with 38 votes.
The outcome has stirred reactions across political circles, given the symbolic significance of the APC’s triumph in the home polling unit of Obi, who remains one of the most influential figures in Nigeria’s contemporary political landscape.
Could it be like the Biblical story that a Prophet is not honoured or respected at home ?.
