The Wells Carlton Hotel in Abuja has abruptly cancelled the unveiling event of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a coalition-backed opposition platform, citing internal compliance issues.
The event was expected to host key opposition figures ahead of the 2027 elections.
The hotel wrote,“Dear Esteemed Patron, Thank you once again for choosing the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments
“We sincerely regret to inform you that due to an internal compliance matter that has just come to our attention, we are unable to proceed with hosting your scheduled event.
“We are fully aware that the event is less than 24 hours away, and we deeply apologise for the timing and inconvenience this may cause.”
Meanwhile, undeterred ADC National Chairman THE RADARR reports, has confirmed the new venue to be the Yar’Adua Event Center, Abuja for 2pm today.
