Justice Binta Fatima Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has prohibited the parties involved in the lawsuit filed by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and three other defendants from granting press interviews related to the case.
The ruling was made on Friday after a complaint was lodged by Akpabio’s lawyer, Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), who raised concerns that the plaintiff was conducting interviews with multiple television outlets, discussing matters pertaining to the ongoing case.
In her ruling, Justice Nyako stated that no party or their legal representatives are allowed to provide interviews to the media concerning the case. Additionally, she ordered that the parties and their lawyers refrain from streaming the case proceedings on social media platforms.
