…Makes Glory Onyeagbor Amamosa its first-ever Patroness
The leadership and members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ika South Local Government Area Chapter, led by Comrade Christian Izegede—who also serves as the Chairman of All Chairmen in Delta state on Tuesday paid a courtesy and familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman of Ika South Local Government , Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior.
The took place at the local government headquarters in Agbor, and was aimed at formally introducing the newly inaugurated NYCN executive team and its members to the local government chairman.
It also served as a platform for constructive dialogue on pressing issues affecting youths in the area.
During the meeting, discussions centered on challenges confronting young people and the need for sustainable strategies to address them.
Emphasis was placed on repositioning the youth for increased productivity and positive societal impact.
In recognition of Hon. Engr. Ehiwarior’s commendable performance within his first year in office—particularly in championing youth-focused initiatives, the NYCN passed a vote of confidence on the chairman, acknowledging his dynamic leadership and unwavering support for youth development. He was also reaffirmed as the “Youthful and Useful” Grand Patron of the council.
Similarly, the Vice Chairman of Ika South Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Glory Onyeagbor Amamosa, was honoured and formally installed as the first-ever Patroness of the youth council, a testament to her ongoing commitment to youth empowerment.
In a related development, former Ika South Council Chairman and community leader, Hon. Hillary Fada Ibude, was conferred with the title of Youth Council Ambassador in recognition of his impactful contributions to the NYCN during his tenure in office.
The event marked a renewed partnership between the local government and the youth constituency, fostering collaboration toward sustainable development in Ika South Local Government Area.
