The Nigerian Army has discharged Lance Corporal Samuel Emmanuel following his involvement in an alleged armed robbery.
His dismissal was confirmed after a court martial held at the 16 Brigade Garrison earlier this week. According to an internal military memo, the soldier was found guilty after a thorough investigation and formal military proceedings.
“As a result of the findings, he has been dismissed from service,” the statement read. “The Nigerian Army maintains a zero-tolerance stance on indiscipline and criminal activity. All personnel are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of conduct, professionalism, and integrity at all times.”
Following his dismissal, Lance Corporal Emmanuel was handed over to the Nigeria Police for further action.
