David Mark Congratulates New Vice Chancellor of FUHSO
Former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has congratulated Professor Francis Uba on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), Benue state .
Professor Uba emerged as the top candidate for the position following a rigorous selection process and was deemed most suitable by the university’s governing council.
In a goodwill message, Senator Mark urged Professor Uba to bring his wealth of intellectual and administrative experiences to bear in the leadership and development of the institution.
“While congratulating you on this well-deserved appointment, I encourage you to embrace teamwork, uphold fairness and firmness, and remain committed in the pursuit of academic excellence,” Senator Mark stated.
He further encouraged the new Vice Chancellor to build on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor to ensure continuity and sustained growth at FUHSO.
Senator Mark reiterated the university’s core mission which is to train and produce skilled medical personnel to bridge the yawning gap in Nigeria’s healthcare sector.
“This vital mandate must be pursued with renewed vigour and unwavering dedication,” he emphasized.
He also called on the university’s management and staff to support Professor Uba in fostering an efficient and smooth administration.
