Charity: Grand Lodge of Nigeria free masons splash multi million naira food, other basics to Orphanage in Asaba ~ Truth Reporters
In a rare display of altruism, the Grand Lodge of Nigeria, under the aegis of the free masons, donated food and basic items running into millions of naira to the God on Earth Orphanage Asaba
The historic presentation, according to the Lodge,s Grand Master, Chief Eric Osiobe Okotie, is borne out of the group,s desire to touch the lives of the less privileged in the society
According to the Grandmaster of the Grand Lodge, one of the cardinal principles of the Free Masons is charity, an act which propelled the group to reach out to the God on Earth Orphanage.
The worthy Grand master tasked the orphanage management, to ensure that the items, ranging from bags of rice, indomie noodles, toiletries, detergents, and the sum of #300,000 cash donated to the orphanage, by one of the free masons, High Chief George Nwanze, should be well applied for the benefit of the children in the orphanage
Responding on behalf of the proprietress of the orphanage, the duo of Olua Nana and Raji Faith, thanked the entire membership of the Grand Lodge of Nigeria, for their kind gesture, affirming that the gesture was timely and much welcome
They said from the calibre of membership of the Grand Lodge of Nigeria, made up of eminent elders and high net worth individuals in society, the space for hope for orphans welfare in the world, is gaining ground positively
Highpoint of the presentation ceremony by the free masons of the Grand Lodge of Nigeria, witnessed by Chiefs Godwin Ogbetuo, JP, AK Osawota Esq, and other high net worth worthy masters, was the appreciation song, by the God on Earth Orphanage children.
