Senate spokesperson, Yemi Adaramodu, has dismissed reportsalleging that the Federal Government paid ransom to secure the release of schoolchildren recently abducted in Kebbi and Niger States.
Adaramodu described the claims as completely false, insisting that no financial inducement was offered to the kidnappers at any stage of the rescue operations. He reiterated that the Federal Government maintains a firm policy against negotiating with criminals.
The lawmaker urged the public to disregard the reports, assuring that the administration remains committed to tackling insecurity through lawful and strategic measures rather than ransom payments.
