The entrant of Mexico, Fatima Bosch, has won the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant held in Bangkok.
She vied along with 130 others in the global showpiece .
The event attracted entrants from different countries, including Palestine which was participating for the first time.

Several Persons Killed In Earthquake
Several persons have been reported dead in an earthquake in Bangladesh.
The incident, which happened today, is reported to have caused casualties in Dhaka, the capital, and remote epicentre areas, 30 kilometres from Dhaka.
The details of the quake which measured more than 5 on the Richter Scale, were still being expected at press time.

The summit of the group of 20 most advanced countries has opened in Johannesburg , South Africa.
The summit opened this morning without the presence of American President Donald Trump, and amid persisting doubts if the country would even send a delegation to the summit.
Nigeria’ s President , Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is also not attending as an Observer because of the ongoing security challenges in the country.
South Africa has downplayed the absence of Trump at the summit, insisting, instead, that no country is indispensable.
Trump had threatened not to attend the summit after falsely accusing the black- led South African government of killing White South Africans and and seizing their lands.
Since the second term of Trump, America has adopted a concessionary migration policy towards South Africa , with more than half of the 75,000 approved slots for 2026 reserved for white South Africans.

The 30th edition of the United Nations Summit on Global Climate Change is ending today in the Amazon , Brazil.
The ceremony had attracted enormous participants from across the globe but with the noticeable absence of President Donald Trump of America.
Other notable absentees are India and China, the last of which is the single largest polluter of the environment in the world.
A communique is expected at the end of the summit which dwelt on how to reduce green house emissions .
