Trump To Attend ASEAN Summit In Malaysia.
This year’s session of the Association of South East Asian Nations( ASEAN) is due to begin tonight,with the President of America, Donald Trump, present.
The meeting is holding in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and attendance is expected to be impressive.
Members are expected to seek to strike deals with the visiting President Trump, who is expected to hold talks with them on the sidelines of the summit.
The trip is the first to Asia for Trump since he began the second term of office in January this year
Madagascar
Military Junta Revokes Citizenship of Deposed President, Rajoelina
The military junta in Madagascar has revoked the citizenship of the deposed elected leader, Javier Rajoelina.
Rajoelina fled the country after weeks of violent street protests against his administration led to a military putsch that occasioned his overthrow.
A military junta, led by Colonel Michael Randriaririna, later announced that it had seized power.
Randriaririna was later sworn into office ax head of the government which has now made a decree revoking the citizenship of the former leader and barred him from ever contesting for the presidency of the country again.
The junta said the revocation was because Rajoelina had, in 2014, obtained the citizenship of France.
Rajoelina was in power for 16 years before he was toppled in a coup triggered by youth- led Street protests.

UK Surgeons Carry Out First VR Google Surgery
A team of medical doctors in the United Kingdom has carried out the first surgery using Virtual Reality ( VR) Googles .
The operation was for a spinal cord challenge , and the patient, Dylan, 14, described the outcome as unspeakably amazing.
The VR Googles enable the doctors to observe goings on in the body of their patient( s) even without opening him/ them up.
Like Dylan who said he felt four inches taller after the medical procedure, his mother, Mandy, said she was extremely excited at the positive outcome of the process.

Former Queen, Sirikit, Dies At 93
Former Queen of the kingdom of Thailand, Sirikit, has died, aged 93.
No cause of death was released , but the death of the former Queen has opened a well of sympathy for the fallen former mother of the kingdom.
Sirikit is the mother of the current king of Thailand, Maha Yajiralonkom.

PM Carney Says Canada Will Resume Tariff Talks ‘When America Is Ready ‘
The Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, has said that his country would resume talks with America once the latter was ready.
Carney ‘s comments came against the backdrop of the abrupt stop to the talks by American President, Donald Trump.
Trump had predicated his
action on what he termed an adverse advertisement on tariff that he alleged was aimed at his tariff policy.
Canada, America’ s geographic neighbour, has had a bumpy relations with Washington since Trump began his second term of office in January this year.
Trump, earlier in his current term of office, threatened to annex Canada as the 51st state of America

US Deploys Largest Aircraft Carrier To Caribbean
America, citing perceived danger for drug cartels, has deployed its largest warship to the Caribbean.
The ship, Gerard Ford, has capacity for 75 fighter jets and is always accompanied by three other warships called Destroyers.
The Destroyers bear the dreaded Tomahawk Missiles.
The moving of the carrier, the biggest warship in the world, is seen as an evidence of the resolute commitment of the Trump administration to the war against hard drugs which it blames for the rising crime wave and general insecurity in America.
America has blamed Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela,in the main, for the significant increase of hard drugs into America, which has been mounting military operations against suspected hard drug gangs.
More than 40 persons have been killed in such strikes since they began.

Palestinian Groups,Including Hamas, Okay Transparent Interim Govt
Palestinian groups and factions,including Hamas, have agreed to a technical committee to run Gaza , following the ongoing ceasefire.
Stakeholders’, at the meeting in Cairo, agreed to have a committee of technocrats to run the strip based on transparency and national accountability.
