Israel resumed the bombing of the Palestinian enclave of Gaza after accusing Hamas of significant breaches of their common peace deal.
More than 20 airstrikes were carried out by the Israeli Defence Force, IDF, in Al Nuseirat, Rafah, Al- Wuyada and Central Gaza.
More than 34 persons were killed in the attacks , including one on a shelter housing displaced Palestinians..
The development comes as Israel hinted that it was halting all aid deliveries to Gaza in response to what it called the Hamas’ breach of the ceasefire deal between them.
The hint, carried by Israeli media, was later withdrawn ,allegedly after American pressure.
The withdrawal means that aid deliveries would resume on Monday morning.
The same media had reported Israeli military attack this morning in the Southern Gaza City of Rafah.
Israel claimed that the attack was in response to a Hamas attack but the islamist group debunked the claim, saying Israel had been in charge of the area since March when it launched a military campaign in the area.
Israel said it lost two soldiers in the attack in which three others were also wounded.
Diplomatic sources said the attack was triggered by the efforts of Hamas to rout out Palestinian militants allegedly armed by both Israel and America to undermine Hamas and impair security in the enclave.
Reports said that Hamas had besieged the militants , hence Israel had to intervene by attacking Hamas fighters.
