The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of applications for its Basic Military Training Course 46/2025 for Airmen and Airwomen.
According to a statement shared on the Force’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, the online registration is free and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025.
Interested applicants are to submit their applications through the official recruitment portal: http://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
Upon completing the online forms, candidates are required to print out the Acknowledgement Form, Parent/Guardian Consent Form, and Local Government Area (LGA) Attestation Form for endorsement.
The forms must be signed by an appropriate authority such as:
- A military officer (not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Air Force or equivalent ranks in the Army or Navy);
- A Chief Superintendent of Police or higher;
- A substantive Local Government Chairman or Secretary; or
- A Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.
The LGA Attestation Form must also include the signee’s passport photograph and a photocopy of their driver’s licence, national ID card, or international passport.
Eligibility Criteria
NAF stated that applicants must be Nigerian citizens and meet the following requirements:
- Height: At least 1.66m for males and 1.63m for females.
- Fitness: Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit in line with NAF medical and employment standards.
For Non-Tradesmen/Women
- Age: Between 18 and 22 years at the time of application.
- Education: Minimum of five credits, including Mathematics and English, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
- Applicants must also possess their secondary school testimonials.
For Tradesmen/Women
- Age: Between 18 and 27 years at the time of application.
- Education: Minimum of five credits, including Mathematics and English, in not more than two sittings, plus an ND/NCE (Lower Credit or above) from accredited institutions.
- Applicants applying as drivers must also have a valid driver’s licence and a trade test certificate.
- Those applying as sportsmen or sportswomen must provide proof of professional experience such as certificates or medals.
NAF also emphasized that all applicants must have a clean criminal record and no previous conviction(s) in any court of law.
It added that the date for the zonal aptitude test for shortlisted candidates will be announced on the recruitment portal in due course.
