Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Saturday, embarked on an inspection tour of major ongoing projects in Esan Central Local Government Area, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to infrastructure renewal and human capital development in Edo Central Senatorial District and across the state.
Among the key projects visited were the new Edo State College of Nursing and Health Sciences Technology at Udomi, and the construction of the Uromi–Onewa–Udomi–Ibhiolulu–Afuda–Idumoza–Eko–Owaya–Ewora Road — a major interconnecting route expected to enhance transportation and economic activities in the area.
Governor Okpebholo expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, commending Mutual Commitment Co. Ltd and Setraco Nigeria Limited, the contractors handling the projects, for maintaining high standards and adhering to timelines.
Accompanied by senior government officials and aides, the Governor was briefed by project engineers on progress made and pending phases.
He emphasized that the projects reflect his administration’s agenda to strengthen healthcare, education, and infrastructure across Edo State.

the Governor stated.
He assured residents of Esan Central that the government would continue to monitor ongoing works to ensure timely completion and durability.
It will be recalled that in May 2025, Governor Okpebholo signed into law the bill establishing the Edo State College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Technology, Udomi. Describing the enactment as “a dream come true for the Udomi community,” he noted that the institution would serve as a cornerstone for healthcare education and professional development in the state.
