Activists aboard the Global Sumund Aid Flotilla enroute Gaza say they are near the enclave.
But they raised the alarm that they were being stalked by unidentified vessels as they approached the enclave.
They alleged in a video message, that their communication system had been attacked and impaired, while some of the boats in the flotilla were being stalked.
The activists spoke as they approached what they termed the high risk area of the sea route to Gaza where Israel had attacked and intercepted previous aid flotillas in the past.
Israeli media had hinted at the prospect of an Israeli military assault on the flotilla which has 52 boats and more than 100 activists from 44 countries.
The flotilla, which is bearing food, medicines, water, toys and fuel, is seeking to break the Israeli siege on Gaza.
It has been attacked multiple times by unidentified boats and drones since it set sail from the Spanish city of Barcelona.
The United Nations (UN) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) have both held that the Israeli blockade is illegal and should be dismantled.
