Casualties As Typhoon Ragasa Hits China
At least 17 persons died and many others were wounded in landslides and floods as Super Typhoon Ragasa hit China.
The deaths were recorded in the island of Taiwan which the typhoon lashed with a dreadful impact.
In mainland China , more than 2 million people were evacuated in the province of Guandzong.
The wind, packing up speeds of up to 230 kilometres per hour, had hit outlying Phillipines on.Monday evening, wreaking havoc.
Ragasa is reputed to be the fastest winstorm to have hit the impacted areas in decades.

Opposition Figure ,Bobby Wine, Files Paper for Presidential Poll
Major opposition leader, Robert Kyangulayi popularly called Bobby Wine, today filed his papers before the election commission, seeking to vie in the next presidential election due in January in Uganda.
This development followed an earlier similar move by the country’ s President, Yoweri Museveni, who on Monday, filed similar papers at the same office.
Museveni has been president for consecutive 39 years and is seeking a seventh term of office .
At 81, the President said his current effort would be his last , but critics say he has not kept past similar vows.

Zelensky Welcomes New Trump Attitude On Russian War
The President of Ukraine, Wlodymr Zelensky, has expressed hope in the new attitude of the President of America, Donald Trump, towards the war between his country and Russia.
Trump had said in a meeting with Zelensky on the sidelines of the ongoing United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, that Ukraine could win back land it has lost to Russia.
He also.prailsed the Ukrainian military for holding ground against Russia.
Reacting to Trump’s statement, Zelensky said he was impressed by the new disposition of the American leader.
He reiterated this position while addressing the UNGA today.
Zelensky said Russia was not willing to reach a peace deal with his country to end the war.
According to him, there was the need for an effective package of sanctions against Russia in order to compel it to agree to a peace deal.
Mali
Mali, Niger, Burkina Daso Dump ICC
Leaders of three African countries – Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso- have resolved to dump their membership of the International Criminal Court(ICC).
They said in a joint statement after the summit of their military leaders that they were withdrawing from the court .
According to them, the ICC is an instrument of neo- colonial control, and targets only persons from the third world, while ignoring those guilt if genocide and crimes against humanity.
Consequently, they said they would create local indigenous alternatives to handle cases that should have been taken to the ICC.
All three countries are led by military juntas and , which are being propped up by Russia, whose leader, President Vladimir Viktor Putin, is under indictment by the ICC for his country’ s invasion of Ukraine
