WARRI/Nigeria: The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, has congratulated the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Grosvenor Group, Asiwaju Engr. Prince Olatunji Olusoji, on the conferment of a Doctorate Degree in Humanities.
In a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Comrade Okies Okpomor, and Secretary, Igafe Edeki, the Chapel described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Prince Olusoji’s outstanding commitment to academic excellence, philanthropy, and service to humanity.
The Chapel commended the Founder of the Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF) for his numerous humanitarian interventions, particularly in education and social development, which have touched lives both within and beyond Nigeria. It noted that his benevolence has also extended to the NUJ Warri Chapel, where his support has been impactful.
“By all measures, you deserve this honour. The award is a reflection of your dedication, hard work, kindness, and love for humanity,” the statement read. “Through your Foundation, you have shaped lives across different spheres of life, especially in the field of education.”
The statement recalled that Prince Olusoji was also honoured by the Chapel during its 2025 Press Week and inauguration of the Chapel’s new edifice, the High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a. Tompolo Press Centre.
While rejoicing with him on the doctorate conferment, the Chapel prayed for his continued wisdom, strength, and good health to advance his philanthropic and corporate strides. It further assured that the NUJ Warri Correspondents’ Chapel would continue to support his endeavours and those of his organisations.
