APC Government in Panic Mode Confirms Allegation of Sectionalism, Bias — ADC
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a panic attempt to defend itself, has ended up confirming allegations of sectionalism and bias in the distribution of projects and appointments across the country.
Speaking at an interactive session with newsmen, the ADC National Spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, said:
- The APC has reduced governance to a circle of friends and cronies.
- In publishing “facts” to deny favoritism, the government exposed itself by inflating projects, double-listing some, and allocating projects to wrong zones.
- This, according to the ADC, is either incompetence or deliberate propaganda.
On why the APC should not be given a second term, Abdullahi stated:
- Hardship: From day one, fuel subsidy was removed without any cushioning measures.
- Weakened Naira: Devaluation has eroded the purchasing power of Nigerians.
- Rising Poverty: Even ₦70,000 minimum wage falls below the extreme poverty line by global standards.
- Punitive Taxes: From January, Nigerians will pay 5% on petrol and another 5% on aviation, further pushing citizens to the brink.
“This government is not only directionless, it is punishing Nigerians. The question is not whether they deserve another four years — it is where exactly they are taking us. Giving APC another term is like pushing Nigerians into the lagoon,” Abdullahi said.
The ADC insisted that four years is enough for any serious government to prove itself, adding that APC has only delivered hunger, poverty, and uncertainty.
