President Donald Trump has announced the arrest of the suspected killer of conservative politician Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was fatally shot during a public event at Utah Valley University in Utah.
The manhunt had entered its third day when Trump revealed news of the suspect’s arrest.
According to media reports, the suspect has been identified as Tyler Robinson. Reports also indicate that Robinson’s father persuaded him to surrender to police.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had earlier offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s capture.
The FBI is expected to hold a press briefing soon to formally announce the development.
