As Delta commemorate 34 years of its creation, a leading member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Lucky Ehiwuogwu Monye, has savoured its development strides and urged Deltans to sustain their unity and the hope for a more progressive state.
He said that Deltans had good cause to celebrate the state which , he said, had become a pace setter in multiple fields in the country.
Monye, the Managing Director of Monaco Ventures Nigeria Limited, one of Nigeria’s frontline private security firms, spoke from Agbor by telephone.
He said that the state had made tremendous progress in unity, education, health, sports, entertainment and human capital development , and urged enhanced cooperation, across all frontiers, to sustain the national leadership role of the state and its people.
He paid great tribute to the past and present leaders of the state for their development initiatives and traditional rulers for steadfastly promoting unity among Deltans.
On the Ika nation from which he hails, he called for greater unity among the people for the enhanced progress of the nation which people, he said, are noted for their diligence and honest labour.
Monye urged the traditional, religious, community and traditional leaders of Ika nation to continue to prioritize the overall well-being of the people they lead in order to sustain the tempo of the development of the ethnic group.
