APC Governors Reaffirm Loyalty to Tinubu, End Strategic Retreat in Benin City .
Nigerian Governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) have reaffirmed their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at the conclusion of a two-day strategic retreat in Benin City, Edo State.
The retreat, hosted by Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, brought together members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) to assess national socio-economic priorities, security, and party unity. Speaking at the end of the meeting, PGF Chairman and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, praised President Tinubu’s reform efforts in fiscal stability, energy transition, and infrastructure renewal, describing them as “foundational to inclusive growth and equity.”
A significant highlight was the formal reception of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, and his supporters into the APC fold, which the Forum hailed as a sign of the growing national appeal of Tinubu’s governance style.
The governors also addressed the recent resignation of APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, calling it a positive step towards internal reform and democracy within the party.
They pledged continued collaboration, innovation, and adherence to progressive ideals to ensure the delivery of democratic dividends to Nigerians.
The session ended with a tribute to late elder statesman Alhaji Aminu Dantata, whose death was solemnly acknowledged with a moment of silence.
