Leaked information have hinted at an enticing American proposal to Iran in view of its fractured nuclear programme.
The programme had been targeted by American and Israeli airpower, in an effort to destroy it.
But while opinions differ as to the extent of the damage caused by the bombardments, Iran, on its own part, has vowed not to return to talks with America, or to give up its nuclear programme.
The talks had been ongoing between officials of both Iran and America before Israel, allegedly with the greenlighting of Washington, began a military onslaught on Iran on June 13.
Following the American military action, Iran said it was not returning to the talks, or cooperate with international.monitors, including officials of the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, or give up its Uranium enrichment programme.
But American President, Donald Trump, short on the heels of those bombardments, had hinted at the immunence of a formal dialogue with Iran in its nuclear programme.
Now, leaks have appeared suggesting informal exploratory contacts between officials of the American administration and the go- betweens of the Iranian government.
Today, the leaks showed that America is offering Iran $30billion( about N48 trillion) and the enabling technology to build a replacement for Fordow, for civilian purposes.
Fordow is the core of the Iran nuclear programme, buried some 300 feet under a rocky mountain.
The leaks also indicate that America had also proposed to ” ease the regime of crippling sanctions imposed on it, and for ” freeing up” of restricted Iran funds.
The sources added another element of the proposal was for Iran to give up its Uranium enrichment programme.
According to sources, the new Iranian nuclear programme would only have a civilian component.
Iran is yet to comment on the offer.
