Climate activists and other human rights campaigners continued their protests today at the wedding of billionaire Jeff Deoz and his heartthrob, Sanchez.
Jeff Deoz is the founder and owner of Amazon, a global brand, and his lover, Sanchez, is an aviator and journalist by training.
The wedding, and its related ceremonies, is spread over several days and the overall cost is estimated at N20trillion equivalent.
Some 250 dignitaries, drawn from all over the world, have been invited, and a vote of $50,000 ( about N80 million) has reportedly been made for each of them.
But the cost of the event and the grandiose plans for the allied events in a city already glutting with over subscription by tourists, has attracted the anger of climate activists and other human rights who have been protesting in various parts of Venice.
Following the protests, security has significantly been enhanced in the city and details of many of the events kept confidential, as more invitees arrived in the Italian city.
Early arrivals include Oprah Winfrey and the Kardashians.
