Benfica ,Bayern Munich Qualify for Round of 16

Benfica beat Bayern Munich tonight to qualify for the round of 16, otherwise called the quarter finals of the FIFA Club World Cup Championship in America.
Benfica earned a total of seven points after winning two of their three games and drawing one.
The Portuguese team shot into the lead in the 12th minute and could have scored two more in quick succession but lost the opportunities.
With no more goals coming to either side, the first stanza ended on a note of a lone goal in favour of the Portuguese.
On resumption, Bayern came more emphatically into the game but Benfica soon levelled possession and tried as much as they could, no one could score, hence the game ended on the same note as at the end of the first stanza.
Despite losing , Bayern Munich qualified with six points , after Boca Juniors of Argentina and Auckland of New Zealand failed to earn enough points to make it beyond the preliminary stages.
Auckland, a team of mainly university undergraduates , conceded 17 goals in thread games . It drew one all tonight with Boca Juniors, after losing 6-0 to Benfica in the second game and 10-0 in their maiden game against Bayern Munich.
