Israelis File For $1.3billion Claims With Govt

Hundreds of Israelis have filed for claims for the disruption of their businesses during the country’s 12- day war with Iran.
Details of the claims, regarding the actual number of applicants and the specifics of their claims were not readily available at press time today but informed sources said that by dawn today, “the individual claims have exceeded $1.3trillion” ( about N2 Trillion).
The source confirmed that the sum ( of $1.3billoon) was not comprehensive as it did not cover potential applications for claims for compensation for losses on accout of the damage caused by Iran’ during its overnight attacks before the ceasefire between Israel and Iran came into effect.
In Monday night’s attacks, Iran caused great damage to individual and public property over much of Israel,vand,at least, five persons died and 20 others were wounded in one area of impact in Beersheba.
The claims also do not include the value of lost human and other security assets,as well as civilians.
By official accounts, Israel, which has a strict censorship policy on its security engagements, lost 28 persons to the 12-day conflict in which 1,300 others were wounded, some severely.
Experts estimate that the daily cost of operating Israel’s multi- layered air defence system which comprises the Iron Dome, the American- made Patriot Missile and David’s Sling, is around $20million ( about N3.3billion), while a sortie ( a flying mission) to and from Iran, more than ,1,000 kilometres away, averages $10,000 ( about N1.6billion).
America, during the 12- day war, handed Israel 14 cargo ship load of military weapons.
