Iran Denies Firing At Israel
By Yadnom Awu/Asaba
Iran has denied that it fired a new salvo of missiles at Israel after the coming into effect of the ceasefire between it and the Jewish state.
The denial came after Israel accused Iran of firing a salvo of missiles at it, and warned the citizens to stay in underground shelters for their safety.
But the Iranians strongly denied it, saying Israel could be making up stories to justify its possible breach of the existing ceasefire which came into effect by midnight on Monday, Eastern time.
Before the ceasefire, Israel and Iran had exchanged military gunfire for 12 days.
The military conflict began after Israel launched a military operation, tagged Operation Rising Lion, against the Persian state.
In the course of the operation , Israel eliminated scores of Iran’ s top nuclear scientists, military brass,
and core security infrastructure.
Aside from hitting the nuclear facilities of Iran in Isfahan Natanz and Fordow, Israel killed around 600 Iranians and wounded many more in the course of its now paused war.
