PDP: GOING! GOING ! GONE ?
Predictably, the once dominant Nigeria leading political party ; the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) is as good as gone .
The party has not been able to resolve and recover from its misfortune after the primary that produced Atiku Abubakar/ Ifeanyi Okowa presidential ticket in 2023.
Thousands of party faithful have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to seek refuge on account of irreconcilable differences.
Political observers anticipated the end of the PDP on account of its failure to manage internal problems.The PDP has been in the Intensive care unit(ICU) .
Just today, another bigwig and former vice President of Nigeria Namadi Sambo dumped the PDP and made his way into the APC.
Sambo has gone to pledge loyalty to Kaduna state governor Uba Sani who leads the APC in Kaduna state.
In all, the PDP’s problem has been self inflicted because of arrogance, abuse of its rules and procedures , no respect for loyalty and dishonesty among others .
