…… Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei vows to retaliate with severe punishment
On Friday morning, Israel launched a series of strikes on Tehran, which delt a major blow to Iran’s chain of military command as Iranian top three generals were killed. This was confirmed by Iranian state media and officials.
The Israeli military also confirmed the deaths of the three Iranian commanders and Two other scientists who played leading roles in the development of nuclear weapon in Iran were also assassinated on Friday.
The slain Iranian Military Generals include; Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff of the armed forces and the second-highest commander after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Gen. Hossein Salami, commander in chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, Iran’s primary military force. Gen. Gholamali Rashid, deputy commander in chief of the armed forces.
The Nuclear Scientists assassinated include; Fereydoun Abbasi, the former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, a theoretical physicist and president of the Islamic Azad University in Tehran.
Meanwhile, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has vowed to inflict “severe punishment” on Israeli for the attack which he referred to as a crime.
He said “The evil and bloody hand of the Zionist regime committed a crime in our beloved country at dawn today, once again revealing its wicked nature by targeting residential areas. This regime must await severe punishment.”
“By God’s will, the powerful arm of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces will not let it go unpunished.”
“In the enemy’s attacks, a number of commanders and scientists were martyred. Their successors and colleagues will immediately continue their duties, God willing,” he said.
“With this crime, the Zionist regime has brought a bitter and painful fate upon itself, and it will certainly face it.”
