America Reneges on Palestinian Statehood
America, today, said it no longer wholeheartedly supports the creation of an independent state of Palestine.
A source close to the American Embassy in Tel Aviv, capital of Israel, leaked this decision to the press.
It gave no further details.
The move is a strategic block to an upcoming global conference on the Palestinian question scheduled for New York.
The move had been pushed by the Arab bloc of the United Nations General Assembly ( UNGA).
The American view point on the Palestinian question came on the day that its former colonial power and ally, Britain, imposed a travel ban and assets freeze on two Israeli ministers for inciting violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Both Ministers,Itamir Be-Gvir( National Security) and Bezalel Smotrich ( Finance), are members of the far right coalition government that has sustained the administration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who, in spite of mounting global criticisms, has failed to ease neither his military campaign in Gaza and the occupied West Bank as well as its humanitarian blockade of the enclave.
Meanwhile, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Norway, today announced that they would sanction the two ministers for much the same reasons that Britain had publicly offered.
