The areas visited were Alihame where the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, road project is on-going, Low Cost Housing Estate and Uromi Junction.
During the visits, the umbrella group expressed satisfaction with the levels of work done so far, and advised that standard and quality work should not be compromised.
The ACU said that it was pleased with the standard of work on the road project in Low Cost Housing Estate.
They urged the contractor to ensure that the work was completed to specifications.
At Uromi Junction, the ACU commended the Delta State Government for coming to the rescue of residents of the area who had suffered a huge gully erosion challenge for many years. It specifically thanked the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for the allocation of funds for the Uromi Junction road projects.
The apex Agbor group also appealed to him to allocate more funds for the projects so as to ensure quick and better job delivery.
It could be recalled that the Delta State Government, a few months ago, approved the construction of flood control measures from Orikeze Avenue Junction through Obi Road, Enumah Street(UBE Road) and Uromi Junction Roads to Orogodo River. The contract was awarded to CCECC Nigeria Limited. The ACU executive was led on the inspection visits by the President General, Prof. Onyemaechi Ugboh.
