Travel Ban: Chad Takes Retaliatory Step
Chad today announced a swift and decisive reaction to the travel ban on it by Donald Trump.
It suspended the issuance of visas to Americans, with immediate effect.
Trump had imposed full and partial bans on 19 countries, citing the need to enhance the security of America.
He said that the ban is subject to review but failed to declare any timeline for the promised for that.
The development has caused a stir in the global diplomatic circles, with many interests strongly critical of it.
Responding to the ban Chadian President, Mohammed Derby, said that though his country had not much material wealth, it had integrity which had to be protected.
Consequently, he ordered the immediate suspension of issuance of visas to Americans.
