Firmed Zambian President,Lungu, Dies
Former President of Zambia, Edgar Lungu, has died.
A statement by Lusaka said he died today , though the actual cause of his death was not made public .
He had been taking medical treatment in South Africa for an undisclosed ailment.
Lungu was President of Zambia between 2915 and 2021, after which he temporarily retired from partisan politics before he returned to try and take another shot at the presidency .
His attempt to vie for the presidency in 2923 failed after the Court ruled that he was ineligible to contest.
He later moved to South Africa for medical attention to an ailment that he did not publicly disclose
