A well-known street vendor in Abuja, famous for offering the “biggest chicken thighs in the city,” has been arrested for allegedly selling vulture meat disguised as chicken.
Authorities apprehended the suspect whose name has not yet been released after concerned residents in the Wuse district tipped off local officials.
Following an investigation, it was revealed that the vendor had been capturing vultures, processing their meat, and passing it off as chicken at roadside stalls and markets, deceiving unsuspecting customers.
