The firebomb suspect who attacked Jews during their regular meeting in Boulder, Colorado ,America, on Sunday night, has been arraigned in court.
He is charged with hate crime, bordering on Anti-Semitism.
Mohammed Soliman, appeared before the Boulder Magistrates Court, and reportedly told prosecutors that if he had the opportunity, he would repeat the same attack.
Soliman had yet to take a plea and is due for a return date on Thursday. Prosecutors said a search of the locus in quo( scene of alleged incident, in this case, an attack), led to the recovery of 16 additional units of petrol bomb, technically called Molokov Cocktails he had made ready but had yet to deploy.
In the Sunday night attack, Soliman, an Egyptian, assaulted a group of Jews at their regular weekly meeting at which they call for the release of hostages still in the custody of Hamas, the Palestinian group leading the armed resistance to Israeli occupation and annexation of parts of Palestine.
A total of 12 persons were hurt in the attack and many of them remain in hospital.
During the attack, Soliman was reported to have yelled “Free Palestine” and” Death to the Zionists” .
Prosecutors claimed that the suspect had confessed that he had been planning the attack for more than a year .
He had reportedly tried to buy a gun but had been denied because he was not a citizen, and had reportedly failed to get an American visa in 2005.
He is said to be residing illegally in the country.
